Ms. Laura ROOME

Laura teaches FRIM 9 maths , Calm Plus and various math courses. She has been at PCHS since 1990, teaching mainly French and French maths/sciences. She has taken a number of student tours to France, Italy and Spain.

Laura was born and raised in Edmonton, attending Uof A and Université Laval with some credits coming from La Scuola Linguistica di Firenze. She taught in Athabasca before coming to Edson to teach at Jubilee Junior High.

Laura, with husband Lawrence, has proudly raised 2 children who graduated from PCHS's FRIM program. Outside school she can often be found walking with the dog, skiing cross-country(training for a Birkie), sailing, chasing grandchildren and reading or crocheting.
